Beal's Eyed Turtle hatches at the TSC!

We are excited to announce the hatching of an endangered Beal's Eyed Turtle (Sacalia bealei) on 14 July 2017 at our Turtle Survival Center in Cross, South Carolina! This neonate is the first sucessful progeny for a captive-bred female Beal's Eyed Turtle hatched by Director of Animal Management, Cris Hagen, in 2004. The Beal's Eyed Turtle is native to the People's Republic of China where they live a primarily aquatic existence in small shallow streams and brooks.
