Charleston, South Carolina—The Board of Trustees of the Turtle Survival Alliance are pleased to announce the appointment of Ginny Waller, Esq. as Interim Executive Director.
Ginny Waller is an experienced Executive Director, skilled facilitator, licensed lawyer, and professional fundraiser with more than fifteen years of experience in nonprofit leadership development in governance and operations, strategic planning, and operational efficiency with specializations in navigating leadership transitions and building relationships.
"I am honored to join some of the world’s foremost turtle conservation experts in protecting and restoring wild populations of tortoises and freshwater turtles. As an interim, my role is to provide support and stability to staff and operations, assess and enhance organizational culture and capacity, and build governance capacity. The ultimate goal is to ensure mission impact long after I am gone," said Ginny Waller, Interim Executive Director, Turtle Survival Alliance.
During her tenure, Ginny will assist the organization in developing priorities for internal reorganization to foster continued growth. She will navigate the transition to set the organization and its new executive leadership on a continued path of success to protect and restore wild populations of tortoises and freshwater turtles through science-based conservation, global leadership, and local stewardship.
