Saving turtles in Myanmar
Turtle Survival Alliance, in collaboration with Wildlife Conservation Society and Myanmar Forest Department implement conservation initiatives that make a positive impact for several of Myanmar’s turtle and tortoise species, some of which are among the most endangered in the world. Actions include: nest translocation and hatchling head start; survival and dispersal studies; creating and maintaining breeding and assurance colonies; community outreach and education; rapid response, rehabilitation, and repatriation of confiscated animals; and law enforcement training.
