Established in 2013 and nestled in the subtropical Lowcountry, the 63-acre property of the Turtle Survival Center is home to a scientifically managed population of critically endangered species, serving as a beacon of hope for turtles around the world. The Center also doubles as a hub for collaboration, innovation, and educational opportunities for turtle conservationists of all ages.

Each month, we showcase groundbreaking conservation efforts and introduce you to some of the extraordinary species thriving under the Center’s care like the Flattened Musk Turtle (Sternotherus depressus), Rote Island Snake-necked Turtle (Chelodina mccordi), plus a range of Asian box turtles of the genus Cuora, and more.
